Viktor Yanukovych emphasizes the need to modernize Ukrainian science

The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is convinced that one of the important components of the innovative development of our country should be the modernization of science. He stated this during a meeting with the Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
"Our goal is to consider the issue of modernization of science together with the National Academy of Sciences, uniting our science, education and the real sector of the economy," said the Head of State. According to him, today, unfortunately, science, like other areas of the country’s development, is going through difficult times.
At the same time, the President emphasized that the idea of innovative development of Ukraine was, is and remains relevant. The head of state expressed his conviction that without technological renewal of production and industry, it is impossible to move forward qualitatively, produce competitive products, etc.
"We need a technological breakthrough that would create conditions for raising the level of competitiveness of our industry," Viktor Yanukovych said.
