Education monitoring
In 2007 — 2008, three hundred and five educational institutions of Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnyanskyi, Pecherskyi, Solomyanskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital became participants in a large-scale project. They are gradually abandoning traditional paper work and have begun to conduct the entire document flow of the educational institution in electronic form. The introduction of such innovations in such a segment of education as school became possible thanks to the Information and Analytical System of Education Monitoring of the City of Kyiv.
The information and analytical system of education monitoring was developed by the Research Institute with the aim of improving the learning process, strengthening control over educational, administrative and economic activities, both in the middle of the educational institution itself and on the part of the district and main departments of education and science of the city. Such opportunities are opened up by the introduction of the software
AS «Shkola», which automates the management of the educational institution, accompanying the student at all stages of education, from submitting an application for enrollment in an educational institution to receiving a certificate of secondary education.
AS «School» allows you to automate almost the entire document flow in educational institutions, starting from record keeping and ending with the creation of electronic «personal files» of students and teachers. In addition, the system allows for current and final
testing of students’ knowledge level. Students can be tested both by their teachers themselves and by «external» experts — teachers from other schools. Moreover, the results of the tests become known literally immediately, in online mode. The system is fully computerized, servers have been installed in education departments and schools, and connections have been made to «client» workplaces. Confidentiality of the information stored in the system is ensured by a special access card and a password to it, which makes it impossible to interfere with the operation of the system by people who do not have the right to do so.
In 2008, the Information and Analytical System expanded its functionality. From now on, it is possible to track visits by students, employees, and visitors of the educational institution in an automated mode. Entrance to the school is carried out using
electronic school student tickets, employee passes and guest passes of visitors, and the video surveillance system ensures effective supervision of the internal premises and the adjacent territory of the educational institution.

The use of the Information and Analytical System of Education Monitoring of the City of Kyiv by the main administration, six district administrations of education and science, and three hundred and five general educational institutions made it possible to automate the life processes of these institutions and simplify the management of educational institutions at all levels.
