Clarification regarding the use of an electronic student ticket as a discounted ticket in the Kyiv metro

From March 1, the experimental operation of the electronic student ticket of students of NTU «KPI» with a contactless chip as a discounted student ticket in the Kyiv metro began. The companies of Research Institute of Applied Information Technologies, KP «Kyivskyi metropoliten», NTU «KPI», «Card System» and «Plastyk Karta» participated in the development and launch of the project.

It is expected that from the beginning of April, all interested students of KPI will be able to use their electronic student tickets as a regular preferential travel document in the Kyiv metro.

In order to receive an electronic student card with a contactless chip-module suitable for discounted subway travel, the following procedure must be performed:



Students of higher education institutions/students of a secondary-special education institution must apply in writing to the management of the educational institution with a request to issue them an electronic student card with a contactless chip-module suitable for discounted travel in the Kyiv metro.

1. Considers the possibility of ordering these documents, after which the educational institution orders electronic student tickets with a contactless chip module at the Research Institute of Applied Information Technologies.

2. Coordinates the issue of financing the production of an electronic student ticket with a contactless chip module.

After receiving an electronic student ticket with a contactless chip module, the discount travel service in the Kyiv metro is activated

Important information:



1. Ordering and production of electronic student tickets is carried out in accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine No. 801 dated 09.08.2010, 1000 dated 30.08.2011 within the framework of the experiment «Electronic student ticket», which was extended for 2010- 2012 years.

2. The further possibility of ordering and producing electronic student tickets, starting from the 2012-2013 academic year, will depend on the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports regarding the continuation of the experiment or approval of its results.

3. Additional information about the project will be published in a press release on the website ndipit.com.ua

4. Detailed information on the procedure for ordering electronic student/apprentice tickets will be posted on the osvita.net website
