Teachers will decide what education will be like in Kyiv

The final stage of the discussion of the Capital Standard of Education project is starting in Kyiv. In the near future, teachers, schoolchildren and their parents will be introduced to the revised version of the project. On Monday, April 2, the head of the KSGA, Alexander Popov, announced this.

"In the near future, the Main Department of Education will send this revised version to schools and kindergartens. Everyone will be able to study it, express their opinions and wishes. I am sure that the result of joint work on the project will be a truly professional, and most importantly, a document that is vital and close to reality «, said Alexander Popov.

The head of the city, explaining the need for additional discussion of the project, noted that he considers „collective work to be more effective.“ „The proposed project was studied by practicing teachers, scientists, and experts and received high marks. But I still believe that collective revision will only benefit it. No one knows the problems of the industry as well as practicing teachers, parents, and schoolchildren. The more Kyiv residents will join their efforts in working on the Education Standard, the better it will be,“ said Alexander Popov.

Let us remind you that the head of the KSGA, Alexander Popov, initiated the development and implementation of the Capital Education Standard in Kyiv in the fall of 2011. Alexander Popov appealed to the parents and teaching staff of the capital to work out the capital standard of the general education school of the 21st century together.

»In order to make Kyiv a leader among European capitals, we need to raise the level of education and education in the city’s educational institutions, from kindergartens to high school. For this, first of all, it is necessary to determine the standards of training. We must form the Metropolitan standard of education, which will become an example for the whole country," said Alexander Popov.
